This weekend we are headed to a friend’s 1st birthday party. This mamma is super mindful of what she buys and isn’t a big fan having items around the house that aren’t getting used regularly. So I wanted to really put some great thought into this birthday gift. I’m all about coordinating the entire gift along a theme and color for sure. I knew that their theme was going to be Hungry Caterpillar from the adorable children’s books, and this family loves to read as much as we do. So a gift with books made perfect sense.
While I was out shopping my favorite place, Target, I came across the most adorable outfit with a literary theme. I mean who doesn’t love Dr. Seuss?!? I paired it with 3 of our favorite Dr Seuss’s collection board books that are the perfect size for small hands to hold; ABC An Amazing Alphabet, Are you My Mother? and Thers’s a Wocket in my Pocket! Since this is a 1st birthday and a time with lots of transitions, I made sure to include a Dr. Brown’s Milestones Transitional bottle as well, they have a sippy cup spout but a bottle body with handles to help littles one transition.
What is your go to for 1st birthday gifts?
