I need a cleaner kitchen, and I need it yesterday. For years I have used dish towels for all of my kitchen needs. It was easy to throw them all in the wash and go about my day. Fast forward a few months and I am busy chasing after my new little guy, well not literally chasing as he’s pretty stationary, but you know what I mean. Life is hectic and we’ve made a lot of changes around our house this Summer.
Aside from my new adventure of motherhood I am also learning to cook. Yes, you heard that right. I am 32 years old and know how to cook about a handful of meals. Don’t worry, we aren’t wasting away over here, The Mister is am excellent cook and has been feeding me healthy meals for 11 years now. He’s getting busier with school finishing and returning to work from his paternity leave so I decided that I would give it a shot. You know with Pinterest and all, how hard can it be.
Well there is a dark side of cooking that no one likes to talk about….cleaning! You make this amazing dinner and everyone loves it, but there is a messy kitchen and a sink full of dishes left behind. Enters my new friend, the paper towel. I started using paper towels for quick spills and clean ups, but find they are great for lots of around the house cleaning, I prefer the Viva Vantage brand.
After all of the dishes are done, a quick wipe down with a damp paper towel is all the cleaning that my counters need. Then I like to hit a few more places since I’m already at it. The stove can always use a wiping as well as the microwave. Lets not forget the handles of the fridge, mine is stainless steal and always has finger prints lingering. This paper towels are crazy thick and perfect for those nasty messes. I had The Mister do a little stretch test for me and the paper towels held up awesome!
My kitchen looks better in just 5 minutes and there is no laundry to do when its over.
Thanks to Viva for sponsoring today’s discussion
