I think every parent out there can agree that since school started, life is busy. Instead of fighting against the busyness, I have been embracing it. You can have a busy week with extracurricular activities and still be successful at home. Check out these 5 ways to make your busy week a success.
#1. Plan ahead
One of your best tools for many your busy week a success is to plan ahead. Don’t just wing every second of the week, especially when it comes to dinner. I like to plan out my meals to help make the week that much more successful.
#2. Make dinner easy
My best secret for a busy week is to make dinner easy. My family tries to eat healthy as much as possible. Which is why you will often see me heading into Target to purchase frozen foods, bonus there is a great deal if you make sure to use your Cartwheel app, for 40% OFF any Kidfresh Meal during 9/11 – 9/24! These foods offer a quick and easy way to get dinner on the table. I’m loving the Kidfresh line because there are hidden veggies in these foods (Meals are made with up to ½ cup of hidden veggies in every Kidfresh meal), my little ones have been eating their veggies without knowing it. This is also a really convenient way for me to feed my family a meal without spending hours in the kitchen. Our favorites are Kidfresh Wagon Wheels Mac + Cheese and of course, Kidfresh Mamma Mia Cheesy Pizza. They are both so tasty and the best in kid nutrition so he’s happy and mom’s happy too!
You will find that Kidfresh products are also family price friendly. You can pick up a unit for $2.99-$3.99, depending on where you are shopping. How is that for a mom/budget win? Going back to school may be crazy busy, but that doesn’t mean that you cannot be prepared. I know your kids will love the taste, just as much as mine have. My whole family enjoyed the taste of Kidfresh.
#2. Communicate with each other
When you are having a busy week, you need to communicate with your spouse and family. Let them know what is going on. Also, encourage them to communicate with you! A family that communicates is much better off during the busy seasons of life.
#3. Set reminders on your calendar
I think one of the most important things you can do to make your busy week a success is to set reminders on your calendar. It is so important that you remember everything that is going on and this is one way I do it. You can also sync everyone’s calendars, so no one has an excuse as to why they do not know what is going on.
#4. Have downtime
As crazy awesome as having a busy schedule is, you also need to have down time. Plan some time in which you can relax and enjoy your family. Don’t make yourself so busy that you do not have time together.
Tell me how you make a busy week successful!
P.S. Kidfresh can be ready to go in as little as 4 minutes. DINNER SCORE!
I would remember nothing without my phone calendar and reminders – a busy mom’s best friend! I love how these meals get good food to the kids on busy nights in so little time!
