A few years ago (prekids) when I had free weekends, expendable income and lots of girlfriends I hosted a Favorite Things Party. It was awesome, each attendant brought a handful of her “favorite thing” we played a fun game and exchanged items. Each of us went home with a variety of new favorite things to try out and I’ll admit Lydia’s gift is still a favorite of mine all these years later. Since I’m now too tired, have no free time, homeschool and write here, there is little time for throwing parties other than epic birthday parties. Each month I am going to bring you my current favorite things. The ideas and products will change and I promise it’ll be fun.
April Favorite Things
Favorite Style – I was binge watching season of Shark Tank, I’m always late to the game on great shows. This amazing woman comes on and she has the best product. She has designed and is making a dress that is adorable, stylish and functional for moms! Sonnet James makes playful dresses for the playful mom. The Reese in white stripes is a personal favorite.
Favorite Product – Another AMAZING Shark Tank find from my bing watching, proud of this Texas Boss Babe. Make-Up Junkie Bags is a game changer. MJB was started when it’s found was busy designing bags at her kitchen table and sewing them herself. These bags lay flat and have a full length zipper so you can access ALL the make up goodies nad not worry about your bag tippin gover and sending make up everywhere. Easy to pack and the patterns oh the patterns are going to make you swoon. I’m loving the Beach Bunny, Rancher’s Daugher, Tequila Sunrise and Pearl Girl.

Favorite Home Decor – My dear sweet friend Krystal from Simply Girly Blog launched a Youtube channel a few months back and her video game is on par! Since she lives ALL the way in Idaho and I’m chilling in Texas it’s not realistic for her to come over regularly and help me decorate my house. Her videos are my personal styling tool. She has a fresh farmhouse look and shops at all my favorite spots (Hobby Lobby and Target) which helps anyone recreate her amazing ideas. This is a personal favorite and it’s great for any season but Spring is too cute! While you are watching make sure you give it a thumbs up and subscribe so you don’t miss any of her amazing videos.
Favorite Recipe – Spring is offically here and in Texas Summer is quicky catching us. I love eating outside during the warm evenings but I struggle with recipes that fit that environment well. Christina over at The Shirley Jouney shares her recipe for Balsamic Strawberry and Goat Cheese Crostini. I promise you are going to love these and want to make them ALL the time.
Favorite Mom Treat – I know I’m not the only mom out there that has a favorite treat that they keep all to their self and sneak on the sly when the kids aren’t looking because they really don’t want to share. If you don’t do this, are you really a mom?!? Well in February I worked with Smashmallow to bring together some awesome Galentines Day ideas and I am a fan for life. Trust me they are so tasty and while they would be so good in a s’more, they are pretty dang good on their own. Fave flavors are curerntly Cinnamon Churro and Toasted Vanilla.
