School bells will be ringing soon and it’s time to do one of my favorite things, school supply shopping. I LOVE school supplies, new school clothes and shoes and all of the fun essentials you need for that first day of school. We are starting preschool this fall so we don’t get to buy all the crayons and folders, we pay a supply fee instead. To make up for this I make sure that my little guy is headed to school with tons of fun goodies to help him be excited about his first day of preschool.
We pack lunches every day, this year JDub picked out his lunch box and he decided to go with the animal theme again. He chose the lion for this adorable line of kids insolated lunch boxes, they also have a sweet giraffe and elephant to chose from as well. It’s the perfect size for him and he loves that it has back pack straps for days we use it outside of school.
His lunch will be packed up in these super fun reusable Ziptuck Kids Dino Sandwich bags and Monster snack size bags full of healthy options and a few treats too.
Turn any drink into a “juice box” with Drink in the box. A reusable, washable drink box that comes with a easy to open lid and self contained straw makes sending drinks to school easy and a spill proof! Perfect for lunchboxes. I also snagged a few Snack in the box to have on the ready for after school snacks and road trips.
No new school year would be complete without a new backpack. Now our pack from last year is still great but that is one thing I always loved about the start of the new school year, so we indulge a little on this one. This year JDub will have Lassig Kids Vintage Little One and Me backpack. I love this one because they have a big version I can have too! The backpack is made of a sporty canvas with high-quality appliqués made of imitation leather on the clasps, and the must have water bottle holder.
Another awesome product that will be making its way to school with us this year is Skip Hop Water Bottle. JDub picked the dog themed one to match his blue backpack. I love that it’s easy to clean and we both can see how much water he is drinking.
Every preschooler needs a nap mat. Some of the ones I have seen are super thin and don’t seem comfortable at all, especially when you consider that they are going to be laying on the floor. I prefer to purchase one that is very padded and will be comfortable for him to lay and hopefully actually sleep on. He picked the sharks but I personally love the ice cream one!
First rule of preschool, label EVERYTHING. Last year I really had no idea how serious this was. This year I will be label the extra set of clothes and lovey in his back pack. The backpack it self of course and then I like to use a different type of label for things like lunch bags, water bottles, food containers.
Don’t forget those 1st day of school pictures! I love these adorable signs that you can pose your little ones with to mark the occasion. Chalkboard not your style, check out this precious school bus sign!
