This year my oldest is starting Pre-K. We are continuing at the same school he did a Summer program at and are very excited for the move. He has learned so much this Summer and is excited about the upcoming year. School supplies are seriously one of my favorite things to shop for. I can not get enough bright colored pens, patterned spiral notebooks and don’t even get me started on the post its and note pads!
I decided that I would put together a over the top awesome, welcome back to school rainbow teacher gift. I wanted to fill it with fun items that were for his teacher to have and use for herself and not just in the classroom. BONUS who doesn’t love a rainbow! That will brighten anyone’s day.
Last week I was in IKEA and I found this adorable little wooden crate. I immediately thought how cute it would look painted. So I grabbed one for just $5.99, and then dug around in one of many paints that I have in a giant basket of craft supplies.
I decided on a simple white paint because I really wanted the supplies to be what popped on this gift.
I painted the front and back of each piece, it did need towo coats before I got good coverage.
After all of the ppieces were dried I assembled with the provided screws following the simple instructions provided.
