I’m Lani, a Central Texas lifestyle and parenting blogger, the mother of amazingly creative 5 year-old little boy, an adventurous 2-year-old little girl, and wife to an outrageously loving husband. Who is Lani?
I hold a degree in Nursing, and have worked in the Pediatric, Maternal Child and NICU fields for the past 13 years. While today I spend just a few hours a week nursing, it is still a passion of mine to care for children and families. I am a proud homeschooling mom to my son and love building our cirriculum according to his desire to learn specific subjects while still covering the appropriate subject content.

Meet the Family
John, my fun loving creative 9 year old is a big part of why Life Anchored exists. John is entering Kindergarten this year and loves to ride BMX, swimming, bouldering, art projects, going to the library, making new friends anywhere we go and trying new things. Last year he rode the stick horse race at the county rodeo where we were vacationing in Colorado. It’s still one of my favorite memories of that trip.
Mary, is my adventure seeking 7 year old. Born at 31 weeks and spending the first 5 weeks of life in the NICU introduced us to the world of preemies. She was a fighter then and she’s never stopped making her way in the world. She loves to dress up, climb (anything she can), ride her bike and scooter, swim, read and cooking in her kitchen.
Bill, my adventure loving husband and the best daddy ever. Never have I met another person who loves to be outside as much as this man. If the weather is beautiful he’s busy planning a fun family hike with swimming. Coaching our kids in BMX, while riding right next to them. A willing participant in my crazy ideas, including family halloween costumes. He works as a nurse Practioner and loves caring for an underserved population.

I had no idea when I first started this blog how much it would change my life! Since 2014, I have been fortunate to have opportunities open up for me like becoming a contributor on Babycenter, a brand ambassador, and working with national brands like Ikea, Beaches Resorts, Lexus and many more. I love partnering with agencies on sponsored posts, reviews, press trips and experiences for brands and companies that my family and I authentically use in our lives.
If you look through this blog, you’ll see that I cover a lot of different topics that appeal to busy moms that are juggling a lot of different hats.
