Football, friends and food. Those three words sum up fun for me. What else could you possibly need to have an amazing time? To get ready to watch the big game and enjoy time with friends, I constructed the ultimate snack stadium. Now you may be asking yourself what a snack stadium is. It’s a replica of a football stadium constructed out of your favorite football snack foods!
I made sure to use some of my favorite snack foods in construction, TOSTITOS® Scoops and TOSTITOS® Chunky Salsa are a must, wait till you see where the salsa goes! The best thing about building a snack stadium is you have complete creative control to make this as big or as basic as you want. I wanted mine to be the Ultimate Snack Stadium, I mean go big or go home, right?
To construct the actual stadium I used a few household items. Cardboard magazine organizers are perfect for you s(eating) sections. A low profile cookie sheet will be needed for the field. You’ll find that in the kitchen section of your favorite retailer. Make sure to pick up a few cases of your favorite drinks as well. You’ll need these for a section of the snack stadium and well, your guest will get thirsty too.
Clear your space for the snack stadium to be constructed on, I am using my dining room table. While I was shopping I picked up a green plastic tablecloth from the party section. This will serve as a base for construction.
After assembling each of the magazine holders, I hot gluded the sides together for extra structure. My stadium is 5 sections wide and 4 long. This will leave you with the corner areas open, which is a great spot to add in your beverages. I used two shoe box size storage containers to give some height to the field by placing them upside down under the cookie sheet.
Place your cake pans in the center of the sections to serve as the field. We are going to fill this space with salsa, ranch dip and a delicious fresh guacamole. I piped on the lines for the field using my plastic baggie technique.
Fill in each of the s(eating) sections with your favorite snacks and you are ready to watch the big game and have an awesome time.
If you are looking to make the Ultimate Snack Stadium we added a parking lot to ours. A big game has to have a few tailgaters. We made these by simply hot gluing Skittles® and other round candies onto the SNICKERS® FUN SIZE® Variety 35 oz. For our parking lot we cut 1 sheet of black poster board in half and lined it up side by side. The parking spots are simply white out tape applied to the poster board.
