Dirty Coke Floats

Dirty Coke Float // Life Anchored

It’s upon us and like most household across the country we’ve picked our brackets and are rooting for our team to advance. College ball is fun for everyone but the guys love to make a day of it with friends and enjoy delicious food and good drinks. I decided to put a fun spin on drinks this year and mix it up with something a little sweet too. I gathered up everything I would need to make Dirty Coke Floats for the occasion. I added a few things to the list like maraschino cherries and limes to give it a bit of color and dress up our glasses. Rather than purchase large liquor bottles I thought it would be fun to have various mini liquors for everyone to choose from. I tried to support a few local companies with my choices there. Once you have everything gathered up its time to get to work.

Tip from an experienced coke float maker, ANYTHING you add to your coke is going to make lots of bubbles so I definitely recommend preparing over a washable surface, the sink would be most ideal. Combined your Coke and liquor flavor of choice, next scoop in a nice big scoop of vanilla ice cream (here’s were the bubbles go crazy). Garnish with limes and cherries as desired.

Some of the combos we made were:

Cherry Coke with Deep Eddy Vodka topped with a cherry

Coke Zero with Jack Daniels topped with a Cherry

Vanilla Coke with Deep Eddy Vodka

Coke Zero with Captain Morgan Run with a lime to garnish

These look delish, a little something for everyone! My hubby is a Jack Daniels drinker and only coke will do for a mixer.
