At 9 months old my little guy loves music. He is learning to dance and it cracks me up when he busts out his moves. There is head shaking, booty shaking and knees bending. If babies could twerk, this kid could do it. Favorite toys are all music instruments he loves his drum and his piano that granny and grandpa got him for Christmas. Last week we spent an afternoon at the Thinkery with our buddies from C.R.A.F.T.. We spent our time in the usual places, exploring the mirrors, climbing over the baby gym and checking out the rainbow scarfs and music shakers.
These egg music shakers are awesome. Little guy loved them and I immediately looked them up on amazon to order some for home. While they are a great deal and I may still add them to our wish list. I figured it would be fun and easy to make a set myself. Supplies were easy to find since it’s Easter time and plastic eggs are on every store shelf. Since Baby D is still pretty little I wasn’t worried about him breaking the eggs open.
I gathered up some fun plastic colored Easter eggs, a few cute rolls of washi tape, a handful of dried beans and my craft glue.
I placed a few beans in each egg for optimal noise making and dabbed a few spots of craft glue on the edge of the egg and closed them up.
I let them sit for a few minutes them wrapped the seam with fun patterned washi tape. make sure you smooth it down all the way around.
There you have it, Easter egg music shakers for the little ones.
What is your little ones favorite music toys?

Easter is one of my favorite times. I love how we get to dye eggs and have Easter egg hunts. This is something that would be great to add to our Easter egg hunt. Thanks for sharing on Oh My Heartsie Girls WW
