DIY Mason Jar Healthy Snack Ideas

This post may contain affiliate links.

Happy Mail makes my day. A little something on my desk at work makes me smile. Healthy snack ideas are always fun to find. When I saw Shelley with The House of Smiths post last week I knew I had to make her project. You may have noticed that Ball is celebrating 100 years this year and to commemorate it you can purchase amazing blue-tinted mason jars. The moment I saw them sitting on the shelf at Target I stocked up. With no project in mind I knew something would come to me eventually and I just couldn’t pass them up. Then it happened, Shelley posted this adorable project and all of a sudden my blue jars had purpose!

I shopped my local Whole Foods to choose a few healthy snack ideas to throw into the mix and get that salty sweet combo so many people love. I included dry roasted sunflower seeds, yogurt covered raisins, cashews, semisweet carob chips. dry roasted almonds and peanut butter chips.

After mixing everything together and filling my adorable blue mason jars, I made a simple tag to attach with twine. A few made it into local girls hands and a few went in the mail to friends across the country.

If you are going to be mailing them make sure that weather is on your side, or that you chose non-melting ingredients.

Ohhhh this looks so good, this is my kind of snack! Except that I’d have a hard time not eating the entire bowl before filling the jars! Ha! What a great little gift idea, too!

Where was this post 2 days ago when I was wandering the grocery store aisles in a mental battle about whether or not to buy chocolate?! This looks perfect. I’m definitely going to have to start keeping my own little mason jar snack stash handy!

I’m dropping by from the Creative Exchange link party. This looks like such a healthy snack — well, except for the raisins. I don’t like raisins. ๐Ÿ™‚ Maybe I could just double the amount of carob chips…
