Some days I just need to change it up. I need a new scent to make it feel refreshing like the treat that it is. A hot bath just isn’t complete with out bath salts for me these days. Not only do the salts help relieve me of sore muscles (from chasing a 10 month old all day) but the essential oils are helpful for so many other ailments as well as just smelling good. Lemon and Lavender bath salts are one of my newest favorites. They have a soft but fresh scent. I love to use this oil combo on my little one and this delicious recipe has these two in it as well.
Young Living recommends the use of Lemon, Lavender and Peppermint for the relief of seasonal discomforts. Since we live in the beautiful Hill Country of Texas allergies are a very really thing for us. Since I am still breastfeeding I am steering clear of Peppermint as much as I can (really you should just avoid ingesting it) and am using these two instead.
We use the same bath salt recipe as this project but include a fresh new scent.
Here is what you’ll need:
2 c. Epson salt
1 tbsp. baking soda
8-10 drops of Lemon Young Living Oils
8-10 drops of Lavender Young Living Oils
Dried lavender flowers for looks only
Have you tried essential oils yet? What is your favorite?
