While I’ll buy and eat almost anything pumpkin, my true Fall specialty is pecan pie. Pecan Pie is what The Mister & neighbors request every time the weather cools off. This year I thought why not mix it up and combined the two biggest flavors of Fall in a delicious new creation, Pumpkin Cream Cheese Cupcakes sprinkled with M&M’s® Pecan Pie . It won’t replace a homemade pecan pie (they’ll still get those) but they’re tasty and pretty too. Now it’s time to bring out your Fall decorations and make the entire house smell delicious.
Not only is this recipe delicious its super easy to make as well! Here’s what you’re going to need, M&M’s® Pecan Pie , Mott’s® original applesauce, Pillsbury™ Moist Supreme® Classic Yellow mix and Pillsbury™ Creamy Supreme® Cream Cheese frosting, Pumpkin puree, cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice. Easy, right?
Mix together the cake mix, 1 cup pumpkin, 1 cup applesauce and 1 tsp of each spice.
Place your M&M’s® Pecan Pie in a sealed sandwich baggie and crush with wooden spoon.
Set the M&M’s® Pecan Pie aside for later, they’re going to be the toppings.
Since the cupcakes are pumpkin flavored I figured an orange ombre cupcake liners was perfect. You are going to want to fill the liners about 3/4 of the way full before baking. Preheat the oven and cook according to direction on box.
Cool the cupcakes before adding the Pillsbury™ Creamy Supreme® Cream Cheese frosting. If you aren’t a big baker or don’t have a pasty bag and tips, I have just the trick for you to get the best looking cupcakes.
Add a small swirl of frosting and sprinkle with those crushed M&M’s® Pecan Pie flavored that we set aside earlier. Enjoy!
While I was busy making this treat and a fun craft I enjoyed this delicious Snapple® Apple flavored drink. I’m thinking of the possibilities of fall drinks that could come of this. So I didn’t spoil my dinner I held off on the cupcakes and had some of the applesauce with a dash of cinnamon.
These tasty M&M’s® Pecan Pie might be tricky to find, but my local Wal-mart had plenty and I was able to pick up all of my other ingredients as well. Before you head to the store print out this great coupon and save on your M&M’s®.

To make a simple leaf garland you are going to need 2 things, leafs and wrapped wire. I picked up both at my local craft store. If the leaves have turned were you live, natural leaves would be amazing.
I wrapped each leaf stem and then tucked it back for the final wrap.
The wrapped wire will let you easily hang or drape your garland for easy Fall decorating.
