Easy Slow Cooker Dinner

This post may contain affiliate links.

Thank you to Hamilton Beach for sponsoring today’s post. All opinions are of course my own.

The easy thing about a slow cooker is that you can turn them on and walk away. For some reason this makes The Mister nervous, mainly because when I leave the house I’m usually gone for the entire day. What do you do when your meal only needs 4 hours to cook and you have to be gone for 6? Well, I’ll tell you what I’m doing. Say hello to my beautiful PROGRAMMABLE slower cooker from Hamilton Beach.

This thing is awesome! For dinner yesterday I added in 3 plain chicken breasts and a jar of salsa verde. Set the slow cooker to high for 4 hours and went about my day. I finished dinner up by cooking up some rice to serve the chicken over and a nice side salad. Less than a handful of ingredients for a yummy dinner.

When those 4 hours are up the slow cooker will automatically turn over to the keep warm function. No worrying about over cooking or leaving the heat on high all day. Hamilton Beach has even designed this model to have a temp probe to make sure that your meats are cooked all of the way through.

What is your favorite slow cooker meal? Do you use your slow cooker regularly?

I love making chicken in the slow cooker. I also love making soups. Actually, I just really love my slow cooker. It’s very old though. This would be great! Thanks for the opportunity.

Thanks for the giveaway. We definitely could use a slow cooker since I see a lot of good recipes online that we’d like to try.

We make “cholent” – a stew cooked overnight, made of potatoes, meat, barley, some put beans and more things.

I could definitely use a new slow cooker. Ours just broke during our move!
