5+ Exercise Resources Kids Will LOVE
I know, I know the kids are spending too much time sitting around the house working on their packets of school work or acting bored because you decided it was time for them to learn to do their own laundry. If you kids are anything like mine they are probably getting a little more than normal screen time as well. That doesn’t have to be all bad, there are tons of great resources currently being offered to families with a focus on keeping kids moving and exercising while at home. We’ve tried out a few of these and while I can’t say we have a favorite just yet, we’ve enjoyed switching it up each day.
Cosmic Kids Yoga– Engaging and fun yoga videos the entire family can enjoy. Choose from a variety of themes to go along with learning units or select your video by length, energy level or even categories like stories, mindfulness, yoga and more.
Go Noodle– Kids will get the wiggles out for sure with Go Noodle. Videos are themed and can be watched and used as interactive games or learn motor skills like how to snap your fingers to the tune of the Adams Family song.
P.E. with Joe– A skilled physical education teacher, Joe has taken to the internet and posting amazing daily workouts that are great for upper elementary aged kids through adults. I’ll tell you I was worn out after my first class!
My First Workout Training Program– This program comes complete with all the equipment your little one needs at home for a full body work out. Poster provided with pictoral instructions but videos are also available for full classes.
Glenn Higgins- Super Hero Workouts– Videos are free on Youtube.com and have a fun superhero theme for each video.
Fun Spot Fitness with Coach Roudy– These livestream videos are for parents to lead and participate with their kids. No equipment is needed. You’ll be using items you already have at the house. Lets have fun together!
Consider signing up for that Karate class or even dance class that your child has been asking about. While most places aren’t currently holding class in studios many of them have moved to live classes on Zoom that allow you little one to continue to interact and learn from home.
