Favorite Things Party- A Girl’s Night Out

This post may contain affiliate links.

Brown paper packages tied up with string, these are a few of my favorite things. While I love Maria’s version I have to say that I think Oprah has a pretty good list too. No one went home with cars or flat screen televisions, but we did have an amazing night and discovered some amazing new goodies. My amazing mom came into town for the weekend and I couldn’t have pulled this Favorite Things Party off without her. She is truly amazing!

So if you aren’t going home with a new car like on Opera, how does this work you might be asking yourself. Everyone puts their own spin on it, but here is what we did. Each women chose a “favorite thing”  this could be a food, drink, product, anything. It needed to cost under $10 and they brought 4 of them to the party ready to exchange.

We put everyone’s name in a bowl 4 times, each of us shared what our favorite thing was and why, we then drew 4 names out of the bowl and those 4 women each took home one of the favorite things we brought. Everyone goes home with 4 new items!

Let the party planning begin! I had so much fun decorating everything from candles, silver and party favors with this adorable washi tape.

Glamed up the Mason Jar Drink Glasses with that washi tape.

We had delicious food, a few glasses of wine and laughed for hours! The mister headed out as the ladies arrived. I think her knew it was about to get loud with a house full of women.

On to the goodies! These are the 4 amazing items I got to keep at the end of the night.

I already have this hand poured candle in my kitchen, it smells delicious!

I know you want to start planning your party right now! What item would you bring if you had come to my favorite things party this weekend? Why is it one of your favorites?

I want to host or participate in this party so bad! I don’t have enough friends that live close by though 🙁 This is such a fun cool idea. I love how people put so much effort into their item and actually made them, or assembled them, but didn’t just run out to a drug store to grab a random item. This is amazing. I am super jealous!!
