We love cereal at our house. We eat it for breakfast, lunch, dinner and the occasional before bed snack. The one common trend is that it’s always healthy. There are two schools of thought when it comes to cereal at our house. Mine that says eat it the way it comes, whether out of a box with milk or from a packet warmed. Then there is The Mister’s school of thought, it goes a little something like this… add cereal to bowl (hot or cold), add any fruit in the house to the bowl, next search the pantry for any type of nuts and throw those in too. Lastly add in either some honey or a big spoon of peanut butter and enjoy. By the time he’s finished you can’t even see the cereal under all the add ins. Now, I’m not saying it isn’t delicious, it is. It just doesn’t look anything like my sad bowl of cereal and milk.
I decided that I would make up a nice big jar of healthy instant oatmeal, perfect to have on hand for a sick day or a morning when you just want to stay in your pjs and stay warm.
The make my healthy instant oatmeal I gathered the following:
Instant Oats-plain
Raisins
Walnuts
Dried cranberries
Shaved coconut
I added everything into a pretty jar and its the perfect amount for two heaping bowls of delicious health instant oatmeal.
What would you include in your health instant oatmeal?

I LOVE oatmeal in a jar! I used to make jars in advance for the whole week with Coaches Steel Cut Oats (amazing) so my husband could take them on the go. He loves them! Thanks for sharing this!

It is so yummy this way and it takes all the prep work out of it when you are in a hurry.
