Hello Summer DIY project

This post may contain affiliate links.

Summer is my favorite season of the year, if I’m being honest it’s more than that. When you live in Texas you get two seasons during the year. You’ll have about 4-5 months of cool and maybe even a few days of cold weather. The other 7-8 months of the year are warm to hot to I think I might be on fire. It about May when The Mister starts to complain about the heat and dropping hints about how nice Alaska is this time of year. I’m a Texas girl born and raised.

I LOVE the heat and not so much the cold.

I embrace the sunshine and buy new sunglasses.

I pick out cute flip flops and think about weekends at the river.

I’ve come up with the perfect way to say Hello Summer! A DIY Welcome to Summer kit is perfect for end of year teachers gifts, bridesmaids gifts for those summer brides to make, or something fun for a friend or birthday.

Hello-Summer-DIY- Kit

We chose a bright Raspberry and Lemon theme for our kit, but oh how cute would an aqua and orange kit be too? The possibilities are endless.

These are absolutely fab. I did something similar for my son’s teacher last year, but put everything in a pretty coloured metal bucket. I also included a cook sticky note set from Kikki K Being that teachers use a lot of them!). I love the colours that you have chosen.

Such a nice idea to welcome the summer. Even here it Canada our seasons feel like they go from the freezing winter to boiling summer in no-time, but you have to be careful not to blink and miss the summer. Thankyou for sharing on #HomeMattersParty linky!
