Honey Bee Pollinator Sensory Bin
The kids really enjoyed this honey bee sensory bin. A few years back we had an opportunity to attend the sweetest little farm school co-op and I have to say that it has been an experience that really left a impression on me. It sparked so much curiosity for John about animal life and care and in general life science. One of our favorite lessons was all about pollinators and how important the honey bee is to pretty much everything around us. A short time after that lesson, Bill had the opportunity to help a friend harvest from his hives and the kids and I had a chance to observe and then watch how the honey is harvested from the comb. So many fun experiences all about honey bees!

Favorite story book for honey bee educational time
During our sensory bin playtime the kids usually play on their own. Occasionally I will read a book while they are playing and they ask questions or even act out the story with the sensory bin.
