How to Make Traveling with a Family Easier

Making Traveling with a Family Easier // Life Anchored

Traveling has taken on a different level of preparation since going from a couple to a family. It really is amazing how much more stuff there is to pack and drag around with you when traveling with a family. One way that I make things easier for myself is to keep our bathroom bags pre-packed. I keep fully stocked and ready to go toiletry bags under the sink in our bath room. All we have to do when its time is grab those bags and stuff them in our suitcase. I tend to pack the baby’s things with my own. His bathroom bag fits inside mine to make sure I never forget it.

I keep all the essentials ready to go in a small bag from Ikea. Dr.Smith’s Diaper Cream (our favorite), a toothbrush, bath soap and lotion, sunscreen, band-aids and pain reliever. A small bath toy fits in the bag as well and is perfect for hotel bath times.

For myself I keep a travel version of my daily products. We use electric toothbrushes at home, so the small kits with floss, toothpaste and a tooth brush you get from the dentist are perfect for your travel kit. I make sure to have ample hair ties and pins. along with emergency necessities like feminine products and nail clippers.

I like to take travel sized items and pack them all in little bags like this to keep everything easy and organized!

Having the bathroom bags packed always helps! I love keeping travel size versions of my favorite makeup products to toss in my bag for on the go.

I have a stash of travel size items so if we leave at the last minute some where, the items are already there. No need to worry about it.

Thanks for sharing at #SmallVictoriesSundayLinkup ! I pinned your post to the group board Small Victories Sunday.

I am doing a bunch of travel bags for our summer road trip. An everyday bag (toothpaste, toothbrushes), an outside bag (sunscreens), and a night out bag (makeup, etc.)

Great tips! I always had bags partially packed and on the ready when Rory was younger. We never knew when we’d have to head out in a hurry. Thanks for sharing at the #HomeMattersParty – we’re looking forward to what you have to share next week. 🙂
