Kid’s Sick Day Essentials

This post may contain affiliate links.

I’m not sure how prepared you really can be for illness to come through and knock your entire family out at once. This is our first time experiencing it and it seriously no fun. I love those commericals on tv where the parent is trying to explain to their tiny boss (child) that they need to take a sick day. Sick days for parents don’t exsist! To make life a little bit more plesant during this very unenjoyable time I’ve put together a few of the things that are kid’s sick day essentials.

KId's Sick Day Essentials // Life Anchored

Kinsa Smart Thermometer // Plugs into your iphone and keeps track of temp, time, what mediation given and other symptoms including photos.

Boogie Wipes // A MUST for this time of year! So gentle on those runny little noses.

Drink Cups // So much time is spent laying on the couch or in bed, it’s a great no spill option to have a glass of fluids handy.

Jello & Popsicles // Hydration is so imporatant with sick little ones but some times they just don’t want to drink so these are great tasty, kid approved alternatives.

Children’s Motrin & Children’s Tylenol // Important to have on hand for fevers, pain and discomfort.

Hand Sanitizer // So important to keep germs from spreading! I keep bottles all over the house.

Graco Electric Nasal Aspirator // BEST purchase I have ever made as a new parent! Make getting those nose clear as quick as possible.

Lovey // We are big fans of loveys at our house. A favorite stuffed animal or lovey is so great for a sick day.

Crayons & Paper // Easy to keep handy and super entertaining.

Play-Doh // Create fun sculptures and pretend play while resting up.

Plum Organics Pouches // Delicious and easy way to get nutrients into a sick little one. We love these flavors at our house.

Favorite DVDs // Curl up together and watch some of your favorite family friendly movies to make the day pass by.

Carbonated Water // Carbonation can settle an upset stomach and water is a great alternative to more sugary drinks.

Pedia-Lyte Mixes // Add into those sippy cups of water to make sure that your little one is getting all of the electrolytes they need.

Now gather up all these sick day essentials and put them in a basket to have on hand for those unplesant sick days.

Hand sanitizer is a must. The faster we kill the germs and stop them from spreading, the better off everyone is.
