A few weeks, back I had the chance to show off how we have healthy screen time during our school day. Well it’s been such a hit that we’ve been making it a point to look for other ways to incorporate healthy screen time. You can imagine how excited I was when Osmo debuted their newest game, , and that it was ideal for Johns age! Our math curriculum works a lot with using a 10 square for teach addition and subtraction so bonus for us when their newest game also used the single and 10 pieces manipulative.
John loves playing the game, aka making potions in the wizard’s workshop, and I love that he’s practicing addition, subtraction, place values, comparing numbers and even word problems! Some days he’s in full kid mode and ready to get through his school work as fast as he can so he can get on to building legos or riding hi scooter outside. Since being introduced to Osmo, there are many days now where he rushes to finish his school work so he can “play” Osmo games. Which to me means he’s excited for a fun learning opportunity, so I embrace it and help him get it all set up.
So if you have an enthusiastic learner or even a disgruntled one with a love for tech, then Osmo is exactly what you need. This will have your kids smiling and learning for hours (if you let them).
