As mom’s we struggle to find time for ourselves. Always trying to put our families first we neglect taking the best care of us. One of my biggest struggles as a new mom was figuring out how and when to workout. We joined a big gym near our house for the amazing pools. We swam several times a week that summer and loved it. Then the pools closed and it was time to use the gym for working out. After observing our son in the childcare 1 time, I knew there was no way I could leave him there and feel good about it. The adults (mainly teenagers and a few adults) were so outnumbered by the kids that there was no way that they could safely monitor the area. Older children were entering and exiting the toddler area on there own which made me feel like a little finger would soon be slammed in a door on accident. The teens were focused on each other and their dinner plans while young grade school kids were climbing on top of toys with preschoolers below. We canceled out membership and my dreams of killer workouts died.
