There are a lot of things that make up my day. I wake up early, really early (4;45) to have a few hours to myself each morning before start my full time job as Mom and my tiny boss starts demanding things from me. I workout daily as best I can; jogging, walking, bouldering and yoga are a few of my favorites. Cooking is one thing that I spend hours each day working on, sometimes it’s meal planning, ordering groceries, prepping and actually cooking. Home, you know cleaning it and doing all that laundry that the family generates. I work both inside and outside the home, two evenings a week I work as a pediatric nurse. Every day of the week I spend a few hours a day writing, editing, photographing, ploting and making my blog fun.
As I’ve started waking up earlier, so has JDub. I don’t fully understand it, but if I’m awake that kid can sense it and he’s awake too. That’s why I really try and make the most of my early mornings. The night before I get everything I need ready to minimize kitchen noise in the morning. I get out one of my favorite coffee mugs, I tend to choose based on how I am feeling. I gather what I need for my morning tea, never have been a coffee drinker, and I am ready to go. I tend to choose my tea flavor based on my mood too, Lipton has a bunch of new flavors that I stocked up on. Black tea has always been my favorite and the new Lipton has bold aromas and unique flavors that I am loving. I also grabbed a herbal and a green tea to try as well. The flavor choices where amazing.
Once I have my tea ready I love to curl up on the couch while it’s still dark outside and clear my mind. This is the time I like to do my daily Bible study, read a book, make lists for the day, binge watch last nights favorite tv show. It’s my Mom Moment, I don’t get much work done, that happens later during nap time. This early morning time is just for me, it’s my quiet time.
How do you spend your quiet time?

While I don’t have littles, I do enjoy the early morning quiet time before everyone else is up (and by “everyone” I mean the Mister and our dogs – they are needy little jerks in the mornings…uh, I mean the dogs…the Mister’s just cranky, ha). If I get up at six, I’m guaranteed two hours of quiet, at least. And I enjoy it as best I can. Sure, it means I have to be super quiet, but I’d rather have to tip-toe through the house and have some time to myself than wake everyone up, ha! ๐

A good tea or coffee and blogging is usually my “me” time!

It helps to be organized and get things ready! I still struggle with it and I’m at the Grandma stage! Thanks for bringing this by Throwback Thursday!
