This past weekend I had the pleasure of volunteering at Mommycon Austin. I had an amazing time volunteering as a witness for the Great Cloth Diaper Change. We had over 13o moms and dads gather with their littles to participate in this unique community event.
After the diaper change I attended some great classes on Normalizing Breast Feeding in our Society and Wrapping 101. All of the speakers and instructors were amazing! I got to practive wrapping with the woven wrap and some moms were trying the Moby wrap.
After a few workshops I attended the Expo. It was packed full of amazing vendors, some of which I can’t wait to introduce to you here in the coming months.
During the Expo I visited the Baby Wearing Lounge sponsored by Beco and Ergo Baby. I was able to try on a few different carriers and chat it up with members of the local baby wearing group!
I even got the visit with Jamie, TheBabyGuyNYC, he’s the go to guy on all things baby equipment.
I would have LOVED to attend something like this when our kid was little, to try various carriers around people who knew what they were doing!
My DIL and her friend (with babies) drove in for MommyCon. They had a GREAT time!
Looks like a great event! And, nice planner! 🙂
This looks like so much fun!!! I’m glad you went!
Man… I wish I had known about cool things like this when I had babies. Looks like it was a blast.
