Moving into a new home is intimidating. You have this amazing, yet beautiful home to clean. However, you still need to clean your old home too. We have all been there, moving is a ton of work, and cleaning just adds to the “to-do” list. I have narrowed it down and you do not have to be overwhelmed with either, check out these motivating tips for cleaning your new home.

#1. Start from the top to the bottom.

Don’t make the cleaning job harder on yourself. Always start from the top to the bottom. When you start cleaning the top of the walls, counters, sinks and appliances, all of the dirt falls to the floor. After you have done all of this, then you can sweep and mop. If I were you, I’d grab the Swiffer ® WetJet Mop Starter Kit to make cleaning the floors even easier on yourself. This is an all in one mopping system that traps and locks dirt so it doesn’t get pushed around (this can help you avoid cleaning in circles).

#2. Use paper towels to clean up the hard messes.

I don’t know about you, but I do not like creating more work for myself. If I use rags that means I just have more laundry to do at the end of the day. Bounty ® Select-a- Size 12 Super Rolls are super absorbent, but they are so absorbent that I can use less with each mess. Also, using these paper towels, I can select which size I need to make cleaning even easier. Paper towels are also portable, so I can carry them back and forth to whichever room I am cleaning in.

#3. Stock your new bathroom with the proper supplies.

Even though you may not have everything moved into your current house, there is one spot you should pay attention to stocking. Stock your bathroom with necessities like Charmin ® Ultra Strong 24 Double Roll Bonus Pack. You will never know when duty calls, which is why stocking your bathroom now is a good move.

#4. Make your house smell good from the start.

When you move into a new home, there is always a lingering smell from the previous owners. Make this home yours by using Unstopables™ Air RefresherFresh Scent. These infuse your home with such a glorious fragrance. These vibrant fragrances can last up to six hours!

#5. Get the laundry rolling.

It literally takes me a month to get caught up on laundry from our move. I always want to make sure everything is nice and fresh for our new home. Tide ® PODS ® Laundry Detergent Original Scent 42 count make doing laundry EASY! These pods are great because they are a 3-in- 1 laundry solution — detergent, stain remover and brightener.

Whether you’re cleaning your old home or scrubbing your new one, these products are sure to come in hand. I always make a “stock up” trip to Walmart because they always have everything I need for less.

Where do you get your clean motivation from when it’s time to move into your new home?
