top 5 ways to relieve stress

We all have stress, there’s no way around it. Bills, work, kids, and the never ending list of things that need to get done but there isn’t enough time in the day for. As a new mom I definitely have my share of crazy days. You know those days that you totally want to call in the cavalry just so you can sit down for 5 minutes. I’ve had to get creative with my down time and figure out ways that help me relax and relieve stress.

#1 Go for a Run/Walk, Probably the healthiest way to relieve stress. Get your heart rate up, positive endorphin’s from the exercise and clear your mind. Oh! and you get to wear comfy work out gear. This momma loves her yoga pants. Sometimes when I really need a quick break, I’ll even pack up the little guy in his jogging stroller and bring him along.

#2 Soak in a hot bath with my favorite homemade bath salts: Best way to end a long day and relieve stress is a nice soak in a hot bath with a scoop of my homemade bath salts. I have a few favorites, but love to make my own so I can change up the scents.

#3 RESCUE pastilles: A natural and tasty way to relieve stress. Cranberry is my favorite flavor and I keep them handy in my purse for that moment when I just need to pop one in my mouth and relax. I find them at my local Whole Foods. You can grab a coupon {HERE} and try them for yourself.

#4 Get CRAFTY! I know it sounds crazy but I feel that sometimes when I’m really stressing out I can sit down and work on something creative and it’s like an instant stress reliever. So bust out those scrapbook supplies, paintbrushes or Play-doh with this kiddos.

[…] Now that you’re back, I’ll get to the point. Ordering my groceries has helped me pretty much remove all impulse shopping from the grocery store! My big splurge each week was on bath salts. I LOVE to take a steaming hot bath after everyone has gone to bed for the night and I can de-stress.  […]
