New Mom Toolkit
I can’t belive that my sweet baby girl (my last baby) is already 10 months old. I feel like these months have flown by and she is growing and changing so much everyday. Just yesterday I packed up her baby clothes to pass on to friend that will be a new mom soon. Hand me downs are great (really great) but it’s nice to include a few other things in the new mom toolkit you give someone. Here are some great products to consider.
TempTraq is a wireless baby thermometer! It is the first ever and only intelligent thermometer that works 24-hours. Not only does it constantly monitor, but it records and will send you alerts of highs to your mobile device. It’s water resistant so you don’t need to worry about sweat interferring with it’s effectiveness. We had sick littles this week and I was concerned about a fever in my 3 year old. Easy to use and I didn’t have to disturb him during the night to check his temp.
I’ve had wipes that I love and I’ve had wipes that I threw away almost immediately. Bloom Baby wipes are thick and textured baby wipes which makes clean up a breeze. They are great on sensitive skin and made with ultra-pure glacial water and infused with plant-derived vitamins A, B-Complex, D, Omega -3 and Omega-6 for natural skin soothing and healing. Did I mention that I love their colorful packaging!?!
When my oldest we had an Oball rattle and he loved it. We had the ball as well as a football. I love how they come in different shapes. They are super easy for baby to grip and the noise is subtle rather than overwhelming. This would be a great addition to any new mom toolkit you put together. Have to make sure there is something fun in there for the baby to enjoy too.
Before that new mom knows it, months will have passed by and she will be reading all of the articles on what to feed her baby and when to start solids. Beech-Nut Stage 1 Oatmeal cereal is a great first food! Their package is great on the go, easy to fit in the diaper bag and has a built in measuring cup.
There are several things that you experience as a new mom that really don’t sink in until you’re living it. All your mom friends will tell you all about their postpartum days. Personally I had terrible hair loss and my normally perfect skin turns super dry. The dry skin is from changes in hormones but also some changes in hydration realted to breastfeeding. So I’m giving Mineral 89 & Auqualia Thermal Rich Cream from Vichy a try and so far I think it would be great for any new mom! The Auqualia thermal rich cream will keep my face moisturized for 48 hours. Which means I only really have to think about it every other day. Mineral 89 gives your face a boost of hydration and a healthy glow.
