In just a few more weeks we will be spending the day with family and friends; eating watermelon, barbecuing and watching fireworks as we celebrate 4th of July. I remember great 4th of July celebrations as a kid, LOTS of friends and family for sure. No party is complete without tons of delicious food. I personally love to make desserts, always coming up with something fun and festive. This year I’ll be bringing firecracker fudge to the party.
This is one of my favorite and simple fudge recipes. That little pop we’re going to add in will come from Skittles America Mix which I picked up on Amazon Prime and had delivered straight to my house in 2 days. I love Amazon Prime!
To get started you are going to combined your marshmallow cream and white chocolate chips in one mixing bowl and set aside.
In a large sauce pan, combined sugar, cream, butter and salt. Over medium high heat, stirring constantly, bring to a boil for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes remove from heat and add into mixing bowl with marshmallow cream and chocolate chips. Using a hand mixer whisk until completely incorporated.
Your baking pan should be lined with parchment paper. Pour half of fudge mixture into pan and smooth around to cover majority of surface. Sprinkle Skittles American Mix over the fudge. Cover with remaining mixture and again sprinkle with Skittles.
Place in fridge for at least 3 hours or over night if possible to allow for fudge to set completely. Once set, remove parchment paper from pan and cut fudge into squares to serve.
