We officially have a toddler in our house. Which means that things are definitely changing around here. EVERYTHING has been childproofed and we’ve had to make things more play friendly. We have a fun toy box downstairs in our living room that gets emptied daily, but we wanted our little guy to have a play area that was just for him. I decided that it was time to finally make his room all about him. I had left a few tall shelves in the corner that just didn’t have a good home. Since he’s starting to climb that was the first thing to get moved out.
We laid one of the shelves on it’s side and turned it into a great storage area for toys and a few of our favorite books. I made sure to place some of his favorite stuffed animals on top to (hopefully) discourage him from climbing on top of it.
To make him a designated play area I used these fun Skip Hop foam tiles to decorate the floor and make it perfect for rolling cars and toys across. I love that it comes with a dozen ideas on how to lay them out in different patterns.
We set up his play Teepee, which every little boy needs and he has a play area that he loves!
Such a fun room! I’m sure you’ll make some great memories playing there together.
Hi! I found you via the link party over at snap creativity. This room look so cute; we have almost the same tee pee for my son (except his is orange) and he absolutely loves it as well!
This is adorable! I love reading nooks. Your little guy looks so cute and happy 🙂 I had a little reading nook in my first sons nursery and we loved it, though no awesome tee pee like yours! Found your post via The Creative Corner Link Up Party. I’m a new host over there. Can’t wait to see what you link up with us this Sunday! x
Great looking room. I’m sure he will enjoy it. Thanks for sharing with us at #Throwback Thursday. Hope you join us again this week.
Such a cute room! I love how bright it is. Pinned & shared. Thanks for joining the Inspiration Spotlight party.
