The Mister has always been a fan of National Geographic and The Discovery channel. Personally, I like crime and medical dramas. If there is 1 thing that has me checking out his favorites it’s Shark Week. I don’t know what it is about sharks, but people (myself included) are fascinated with them! My sister-in-law always asks for the previous series on DVD for Christmas. This year I decided to jump in and make it an occasion with delicious themed snacks like Shark Bait Popcorn Mix.
It’s super easy to make and the kids can even help! You can pop your own popcorn, but this project I used my favorite Skinny Pop from the bag!
On a lined cookie sheet pour out your popcorn.
In a microwave safe bowl, heat your candy bark according to directions. Stirring frequently.
I added a few gummy sharks to my popcorn before I drizzled the melted chocolate over the top. After you have covered lightly in chocolate, add more gummy sharks, sprinkles and decorative goodies.
Place in fridge until chocolate is set and then break apart and serve in cute popcorn buckets while you enjoy Shark Week!
