Running a household is a full time job; cooking, cleaning and taking care of babies. I really can not imagine keeping up with all of this as well as working another job outside the home. For those of you that juggle all of this, I applaud you. I have worked full time or been in school full time for as far back as I can remember. We had the full intention of me going back to work after my maternity leave was over, well that lasted 2 weeks. I quickly transferred to a different department of my company that would allow me to be home during the days with the baby. Even though I was home all day, I was definetly getting the hang of this whole mommy thing and we needed some help. We hired a cleaning service to do the deep down cleaning, but I still needed to keep up with the day to day clean, and the occasional big mess.
I try and keep a small supply of cleaning goods on hand to keep up with a basic cleaning schedule to keep my house clean all week long. Now I’m dealing with muddy feet and lots of food spills not to mention the the laundry, I feel like someone should have warned me! The clean up is daily and a good cleaning schedule is key to keeping it all under control.
Since I do have little hands, I want to use products that are safe for my little one too. The Clorox Green Works products (complete line available at Target and they’re 3/$8 this week!) helps give a natural clean and the products are eco-friendly as well.
My little helper is learning to clean and loves to help me pick up messes. We picked up a fun broom and dust pan in just his size while we were at Target get cleaning supplies. He is a great sweeper, laundry is another story. He just loves to lay around on all the fresh towels.
Here is a simple schedule to help you keep the house clean and not spend your whole day cleaning! Print it out and hang it on the fridge for easy reference.

My in laws use the dish soap and since we’ve been here long enough for me to use it, I so plan on trying out the other products once we get settled in our new home! I’m glad to read this!
