We don’t have a fireplace in our house, therefore there isn’t a mantle to decorate. This is my one request for the next house we live in, that and a two car garage, oh and I can’t live without my gas stove. So I guess I have a few requests for the next house. I did however have this adorable shelf that next to my front entry way that was perfect for decorating. That is until 2 weeks ago when Baby D decided that not only did it make a great place to hold on to while he stands up but it might be fun to climb up as well! So, that shelf is currently been transplanted to the garage until we are past the climbing stage in oh, a few years. It is working great as extra kitchen storage so I really can’t complain other than my living room looking pretty bare.
So I’m on the hunt, I need want a solid side board that can be right next to the entry way. I’m sure it will still be climbed on at some point, but will be a little more solid and not tip over on the munchkin. Here is what I have in mind…
Since I’m dreaming i might as well decorate it for Spring too. There have been the cutest chalkboards all over Pinterest and I again need want a alrge chalk board to go on the back of the piece. Surrounded by adorable spring flowers, plastic pastel eggs and fuzzy bunnies. Oh what I can think up in my mind. Here is my Spring Mantel decorating ideas…
