NO MESS Stained Glass Finger Painting

April showers bring May flowers, you know what else it brings stir crazy kids! As much as I love the rain, it definitely calls for a lot of brainstorming on keeping little ones busy when we can’t head outdoors to play and then a lot of Spring cleaning.  After a few days inside we have cabin fever and the house is a mess, toys everywhere and there are tons of precious finger and nose prints on all of my windows from longingly gazing outside to go play.

One of our favorite rainy day activities is stained glass finger painting. It fun and easy to clean up. You are going to love this!

Here is what you are going to want to gather for this fun no mess stained glass finger painting:

Gallon Zipper lock bags

Washable paints

Painter’s tape

I like to use washable paint for all of our crafting because toddlers are unpredictable and you never know when their focus will leaving painting and head for your favorite pillows. All you are going to need for this project are your paints, a few freezer zip lock bags and painters tape.

Start up adding a few  dollops of paint to various areas inside the freezer bag. I like to put different amounts of each color.

Next allow the bag to lay flat naturally, this lets most of the air out of the bag, gentle press down to remove any extra air and seal the bag.

Using a piece of painter’s tape hang from window or glass door.

Your toddler will love standing at the door moving the paint around to create their masterpiece. Practice writing letters or drawing pictures in the paint.

When it’s time to clean up, simply remove the bag tape and dispose of the bag of paint. Cleaning up this messy moment will be the finger and hand prints for when they colored outside the lines. Nice and easy clean up for a activity that your little one will love.
