Star Wars Wookie Cookies

I have never been a huge Star Wars fan, I know I know, weird right? My family has always been BIG fans and loved to watch the movies, buy the cool toys and dress up as characters. What I am ready to celebrate for sure was the big announcement that Disney recently made, Star Wars Land is coming to Disney, AND Disney is something I’m a big fan of. We’re celebrating with Wookie Cookies. Chewbacca is my favorite Star Wars character.

Updated to add that 5 years later I now have a 6 year old and he is HUGE Star Wars fan is dressed as Chewbacca or Luke Skywalker on any given day of the week. My how things have shifted in our house all these years later. Chewbacca is still my favorite character and I regularly get to hang out with my own little Chewbacca.

Super easy to make and who wouldn’t love these adorable Wookie Cookies!?

You are going to need a box of star crunch cookies, frosting of your choice ( I went with chocolate) and candy eyes. If you are not a avid baker and don’t have pastry bags on hand I have a trick for you.

I use a sandwich baggie secured with a rubber band inside a small cup. This allows me to fill the disposable baggie with frosting. Remove any extra air from the baggie and seal it. Cut the tip off of the corner of the baggie and get to decorating.

I placed a small amount of frosting the adhere the candy eyes to, a dot nose and a smile mouth, since I always think of Chewbacca being a happy guy.

Place the candy eyes and your Wookie Cookies are ready to go!

Enjoy! #ForceFriday
