Tips for Giving Dads a Break This Father’s Day
There is so much hype about father’s doing nice things for moms on Mother’s Day that I want to make Father’s Day a big deal for my husband. I know I don’t have to do anything for him, but he deserves it. Father’s Day should be about honoring the dads in our lives and helping them when we can. Here are some ways we can all give our dads a break for Father’s Day.
Make him breakfast in bed
You know a simple and great way to honor dad is to make him breakfast in bed. My husband hardly ever eats breakfast because he’s always on his way out the door to get to work. The older kiddo and I plan on making him a simple breakfast in bed to honor this. Breakfast can be simple. We’re talking toast and peanut butter, plus making him some yummy coffee.
Plan a date night in
A lot of times it’s so much work to get a sitter and have a date night out. A great idea for Father’s Day and how to show your husband you appreciate him is by planning a date night in. My husband loves watching movies, so this is what I have planned for later in the day. It’s going to be so much fun! You can plan whatever you want, but just make sure it’s something the dad in your life loves. Parataking a little bit in dad’s passion can really make his whole day.
Take over diaper duty
I have to be honest that in our house, my husband changes diapers and helps with Pull-ups when he’s home. He’s always been so kind and generous in that department. However, this Father’s Day I have to put a stop to it and take over. Giving my husband a break is something I’m excited about. Also, you can make him happy by saving him money.
