We Swim Emler, Why You Should Too!

If you’ve been following us for some time, I think you realize how important I feel swim lessons are. I like to keep this positive, happy and encouraging around here so I won’t scare you with a bunch of statistics, but I will tell you that drowning is responsible for more deaths in Texas among children ages 1-4 than any other cause except birth defects. What’s sad about this is that drowning is preventable with water safety education and swimming instructions.

We Swim Emler, Why You Should Too!

I’m sure you’ve heard me talk about infant swim lessons and how much I think they have benefited us. I truly am more at ease around water with JDub knowing that he is more comfortable. I watch him closely and never leave him unsupervised or out of reach but this kid loves the water.

We Swim Emler, Why You Should Too!

We swim at Emler and our school recently got a facelift. I love the bright colors and adorable fish logo. I realized that of all the posts I’ve written about Emler I haven’t really showed you the facility or told you about everything they offer!

First its important to know that Emler has 8 locations across Texas and in Kansas City as well.

They offer 4 levels of swim lessons starting at age 2 months! Bathtime Babies are from 2 – 6 months and are FREE! Waterbabies is from 6 months – till 2 years old and requires that an adult is in the water with there child during classes (this is where we are right now). AquaTots is for children age 3 and focuses on independent swimming, jumping in the water and other activities.  Beginners are the 4 year olds and they are starting to learn technical strokes and building on previously learned skills. Swimmers is their 5 year old and up class, they learn the 4 basic strokes and proper technique.

In addition to all of the kid classes, Emler offers group and private lessons, adult lessons, recreational swim team and PARTIES! More about parties, indoor heated pool, dedicated life guards and a party area. I am seriously loving this. I’m thinking we should have a birthday party, or for older kids how about a back to school or even an end of school year party.

Mention you heard about Emler Swim School from Life Anchored blog and receive one pair of swim pants for free when you sign up for any of their classes. All classes eligible including the FREE Bathtime Babies class!  #iswimemler
